Terms Of Service
These Terms form the contract between you and Buttons. Please read them carefully before using the platform.
Last updated: April 1, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Buttons. Buttons (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a social platform that allows users (“Users”) to share content, connect with creators, subscribe to premium content, send tips, and stream live. By creating an account or otherwise accessing the Buttons website, mobile apps, or desktop apps (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy, Cookie Notice, Community Guidelines, Acceptable Use Policy, DMCA Policy, Complaints Policy, Contract Between Fan and Creator, and Anti-Slavery and Anti-Trafficking Statement by reference.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction (whichever is greater), to use Buttons. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and current. We may require identity and age verification before granting access to certain features, particularly creator features and adult content. You may not use the Service if we've previously banned you or if you're legally prohibited from receiving the Service.
3. Your Account
3.1 Registration
You'll need to provide a valid email or phone number, choose a username, and create a password. You agree to keep your details accurate, keep your password confidential, and to be responsible for everything that happens under your account. You must not share your account, transfer it, or allow anyone else to use it.
3.2 Account Security
Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised or accessed without authorization. We are not responsible for losses caused by your failure to keep your credentials secure.
3.3 Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, remove content, or restrict features if we believe you've breached these Terms, violated applicable law, or put the safety of our community or the Service at risk. You can close your account at any time from Settings → Account; some obligations (including around content licenses, payouts, and indemnification) survive termination.
4. User Content
4.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of the text, images, video, audio, and other material you post (“User Content”). Subject to your privacy settings, you grant Buttons a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for format and technical purposes), display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service. This license ends when you delete the User Content, except to the extent copies are needed for backups, legal compliance, or to complete pending transactions.
4.2 Your Responsibilities For User Content
You represent and warrant that, for each piece of User Content you post:
- You own it, or have all necessary rights and permissions to post it on Buttons.
- Every identifiable person featured is at least 18 years old and has given explicit, documented consent to appear in that content and to its distribution on Buttons.
- It does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- It does not violate any law or these Terms.
We may request proof of consent or rights at any time and remove content where that proof is not provided.
4.3 Prohibited Content
You may not post content that:
- Involves or sexualizes minors in any way, including fictional depictions, simulations, or “age play”.
- Is non-consensual, including “revenge porn” or hidden-camera content.
- Depicts violence, weapons, self-harm, or real-world harm intended to threaten others.
- Promotes hate or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.
- Involves trafficking, exploitation, coercion, bestiality, or necrophilia.
- Promotes illegal goods, illegal drugs, fraud, or scams.
- Violates someone's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Contains malware, spam, or automated/mass-posting tools without our permission.
A more complete list is in our Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines.
4.4 Moderation
We use a mix of automated tools and human review to moderate content. We may remove, restrict, age-gate, or label content, and we may suspend accounts, at our discretion and in line with our published policies.
5. Creators And Monetization
5.1 Becoming A Creator
Any eligible User can apply to become a creator. We'll ask you to complete identity and age verification and agree to our creator-specific terms (including tax and payout arrangements). We may deny or revoke creator status at our discretion, including where you fail verification or repeatedly breach these Terms.
5.2 Subscriptions, Tips & Pay-Per-View
Creators can set subscription tiers, request tips, and sell access to specific posts (pay-per-view). All transactions through Buttons are processed by our payment providers; by transacting, you also agree to any terms they impose. Creators are responsible for describing their offerings accurately and delivering what they promise — see the Contract Between Fan and Creator.
5.3 Fees And Payouts
Buttons charges a transparent platform fee on earnings, shown in the creator dashboard before you publish paid content. Creators are responsible for their own taxes. Payouts are made to your verified payout method on our published schedule; we may withhold payouts where fraud, chargebacks, or policy violations are suspected, or where required by law.
5.4 Refunds And Chargebacks
Payments for digital content and services on Buttons are generally non-refundable. We may issue refunds at our discretion — for example, where content was not delivered, the creator's account was terminated for policy violations, or where required by law. Excessive or fraudulent chargebacks may result in account action.
6. Intellectual Property
The Buttons name, logos, designs, software, and related assets are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly allowed by these Terms or applicable law. Our Branding page explains acceptable use of our brand.
If you believe content on Buttons infringes your copyright, follow the process in our DMCA Policy.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have. By using Buttons, you consent to that processing.
8. Third-Party Services And Links
The Service may include links to or embed content from third parties. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, or services and don't endorse them. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that content posted by other Users will be accurate, reliable, or lawful.
10. Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Buttons and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service, other Users' conduct, or any User Content. Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Buttons and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your breach of these Terms or any law; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Governing Law And Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated in our incorporation notice in our About page, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You and Buttons waive the right to participate in a class action to the fullest extent permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow these waivers — in those cases, these provisions apply only to the extent permitted.
13. Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, give you additional notice (for example, by email or in-product banner). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the documents incorporated by reference, are the entire agreement between you and Buttons relating to the Service.
