Anti-Slavery And Anti-Trafficking Statement
Our commitment to human rights and our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, and exploitation on Buttons.
Last updated: April 1, 2026
1. Our Position
Buttons is committed to respecting human rights and to ensuring that neither our operations nor our platform are used to facilitate modern slavery, human trafficking, or any form of exploitation. We have a zero-tolerance policy. We expect the same standard from every person who uses Buttons — Users, Creators, employees, suppliers, and partners.
This statement is made in the spirit of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and similar legislation around the world, and reflects our broader commitment to ethical business practices and the protection of vulnerable people.
2. What We Mean
“Modern slavery” includes slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labor, and human trafficking — any situation where a person is exploited by another person or organization. Exploitation can include sexual exploitation, labor exploitation, domestic servitude, forced marriage, forced criminality, and organ harvesting.
3. What We Do On The Platform
3.1 Policies And Rules
Our Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy explicitly prohibit content or behavior that facilitates, promotes, or benefits from trafficking, forced labor, or exploitation. Violations result in content removal, permanent account termination, and reports to the authorities where appropriate.
3.2 Creator Verification
Before a Creator can enable paid features or post adult content, they must complete identity and age verification through our verification partners. This helps us confirm that Creators are who they say they are and that nobody is using the platform through a third party's name or on behalf of a trafficker.
3.3 Content Moderation
We combine machine-learning detection with trained human reviewers. We prioritize content that carries a higher risk of harm (including non-consensual intimate imagery, CSAM, and indicators of trafficking) and we preserve evidence as required by law when we escalate to the authorities.
3.4 Reporting & Cooperation With Authorities
Users can report suspected exploitation through the in-app Report option or our Complaints Policy. We cooperate with law enforcement and specialist NGOs when we're made aware of suspected trafficking or exploitation, and we report CSAM to the appropriate national reporting body (e.g. the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in the U.S.) as required by law.
4. What We Do Inside The Company
- Supplier due diligence. We review suppliers and partners for modern slavery risk and include anti-slavery and human-rights clauses in our standard contracts.
- Employment practices. We pay fair wages, treat employees and contractors with dignity, and verify that every worker has the right to work in the jurisdictions where they operate.
- Training. Relevant staff — including moderators, Trust & Safety, customer support, and verification reviewers — receive training to recognize and escalate indicators of exploitation.
- Speak-up channels. Employees and contractors can raise concerns confidentially, without fear of retaliation.
5. How You Can Help
If you see content or behavior on Buttons that you suspect involves trafficking, exploitation, or the sexualization of minors, please report it immediately:
- Use the in-app Report option on the specific content or profile.
- For broader complaints, follow our Complaints Policy.
- Where there is an immediate safety risk, contact local law enforcement and the relevant national anti-trafficking hotline in addition to reporting to us.
6. Review
We review this statement and the policies and procedures behind it at least annually, and whenever there is a significant change to our business or to relevant law.
